Since in the Archaeological Museum of Naples there are exhibits that show women of the Roman era taking a bath in this spring, you can imagine how ancient and famous this spa is! The waters of Nitrodi were deemed really miraculous: The ancient population believed that beneficial nymphs lived there, and so they were regarded as sacred waters. In fact, the water flowing out of this spring is excellent, especially for the treatment of dermatological diseases. Whoever takes a bath in these waters, can heal very difficult and rare skin disorders.

The healthy virtues of the Nitrodi water are exceptional also to treat injuries and burns. The Nitruoli baths are effective for all kinds of skin illnesses, from acne to dermatitis, and burns, but also for various other pathologies and inflammations. Around the spring is now operational a very modern facility, with outdoor showers, private showers, sun-loungers and sun-beds, trails in the field, relax areas with a view, and a bar kiosk that sells herbal teas and cocktails with aloe and prickly pear.
